Kate Bush lyrics: " ... but he didn't have the money for a guitar (What could he do?) (Should have been a politician)
But he never had a proper education (What could he do?) (Should have been a father)
But he never even made it to his twenties - What a waste Army dreamers
Oh, what a waste of Army (army) dreamers (dreamers)
Tears o'er a tin box Oh, Jesus Christ, he wasn't to know
Like a chicken with a fox He couldn't win the war with ego
Give the kid the pick of pips And give him all your stripes and ribbons
Now he's sitting in his hole He might as well have buttons and bows
But he didn't have the money for a guitar (What could he do?) (Should have been a politician)
But he never had a proper education ...”
I listened to this song many times as a teen. It reminds me of war then, and now. People somehow have not figured out that war is the sign of communication breakdown.
But, can we expect to understand the enemy? They are out there.
There are haters everywhere. Even in our entertainment.
They once tried to ban "The Three Stooges" for violence. Look how it has progressed, and continues to permeate our lives, and drowns out the message to love that Jimmy Hendrix once played:
If I could read her lips I would hear our heart's cry
But she only has a piece of the soul
Of that enchilada pie
So I'll share it with you here, in case she cannot be heard
The song she is singing is the sound of a bird
In the form of a dove, hear her sweet, sweet cooing
It's the same story of love, she'll be ever ensuing: https://debracohenmusic.com
